The Pantheon is a former Roman temple, stemming from the Greek word ‘pantheion’ meaning “temple of all the gods” it is one of the oldest surviving examples of concrete. The rotunda or dome of the Pantheon is a perfect sphere measuring 43 meters across, constructed from 4500 metric tones of Roman concrete and dates back to 27 BC. This magnificent Roman temple inspired the Rotunda ring, constructed from silver sheet and featuring its own concave concrete dome.

Rhiannon Palmer is a sculptor and jeweller. It was out of her passion for making and obsession with concrete that Rhiannon Palmer Jewellery was born. Through the creation of unique, hand cast concrete jewellery, RPJ shows how tactile, playful and beautiful concrete can be. It was whilst studying Contemporary Crafts at Falmouth, Rhiannon was introduced to concrete as a creative medium. She honed her skills with concrete by producing an array of concrete and mixed media sculptures which progressed into bold, urban, contemporary jewellery.
