Joy BC creates conceptual jewellery and objects, that question and challenge the wearer.
This ring is part of our Art Ring showcase at Tomfoolery.

THE RING
”Like the Japanese art of Kintsugi (where broken ceramics are mended using gold and Urushi lacquer ), I highlight the beauty in breakages and ruins. ‘Solis’, (Latin for sun) is a nod to the ancient belief that gold was the actual sun that had fallen from the sky. All life needs light to grow; this ring is a homage to illuminated thought. ” – Joy BC
