This ring is part of ourArt Ringshowcase at Tomfoolery.
This ring derives from the “sea monsters” collection that is sure to give you magical powers driven by the power of water when worn. Beware of Yacu Mama, she lives in the waters of the Amazon river and will eat anything that comes near to her. Don’t be fooled by the golden glimmer in the water as this is a lure. She lurks beneath it. “
This one-of-a-kind ring is sculpted to mimic the claws and teeth of sea creatures and cast in silver (oxidised) and18ct yellow gold. It is set with a green coloured Quartz and rock crystal that has been hand cut by an artisan stone cutter to achieve a unique sparkling effect.

Eily O’Connell is well known for conjuring up hybrid treasures, illuminating absurd beauty in all natural forms. Each piece morphs into a new species through the process of combining natural forms and casting them into metal, adorning them with gemstones, enamel and other curios. Eily grew up in Donegal on the North West coast of Ireland hence sea themes are evident throughout her work. Eily is concerned with our ecological impact and so tries to highlight important issues through pieces and collections.
