Birthstones: GARNET

OOAK SILVER & GARNET DROP EARRINGS By Maria Manola

January’s birthstone, Garnet typically comes in rich, red shades – but it is also a gemstone that comes in a variety of other vibrant hues including orange, yellow, purple and green.

The name Garnet originates from the Latin word “Garanatus,” meaning “seed-like” as they are said to resemble pomegranate seeds whilst referencing its initial use for growth and transformation.
Garnet is a durable, semi-precious gemstone sourced from all around the globe, including Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, South America and the United States.Garnets are said to enhance creativity, boost energy and promote positivity. It has a strong connection to the root chakra, which is associated with security and grounding.

From our ART ring collective, WWAKE’s OOAK Dyad Signet No.5 Ring features a vivid emerald cut garnet and an oval opal that juxtapose each other – this one-of-a-kind ring won’t be around for long.
