A Compass To Meaning Art Ring

Please note, this is a one-of-a-kind ring made for our ARTring 2023 exhibition. ARTring is an annual celebration of bold design and craftsmanship showcasing masterful creations from 30 unique designers. The ARTring event is hosted in the gallery from November to January. Each ARTring comes with a dedicated Story Card featuring a sketch and quote from the designer.

The A Compass To Meaning Art Ring by Franny E is a truly distinctive and meaningful piece. Crafted with care, the ring incorporates a free-moving compass element, symbolising a journey towards purpose and significance. The use of environmentally conscious materials, including Sterling Silver and Fine Silver sourced from Fairmined suppliers, as well as 14ct Yellow Gold also Fairmined, underscores a commitment to ethical craftsmanship. The incorporation of rare reclaimed tourmaline, champagne diamonds, and fully traceable blue and teal sapphires from Sri Lanka adds a touch of rarity and responsibly sourced luxury. This unique combination of elements makes the ring not only a visually captivating piece but also a testament to the designer’s dedication to sustainability and thoughtful design.

Franny says about her Art Ring:

“This ring is an order to Art. Capturing a historical event, nature, devotion to the divine, protection from evil spirits, the love of two people, or simply an object of beauty.

Art can stir our senses and emotions. These connections can become the antidote to much of the world’s suffering. The wearer of this ring is invited to look inward and meditate on mindful connections to our environment, to those closest to us, and to those faraway. Evoking a sense of openness and oneness as it spins in a continuous, harmonious circle”.
