Diamond Nugget Studs by Emily Nixon. Rugged nuggets of gold have been smoothed to the texture of tumbled pebbles. Brilliant white diamonds twinkle in their midst. Artfully irregular, these ocean inspired studs are made to be subtly mismatched. Created in Cornwall by Emily in 18ct recycled yellow gold and cast using the traditional lost wax process. Artfully irregular, made to be subtly mismatched. Constant experimentation, playfulness and development of ideas, alongside a mindfulness of the relationship each piece has with the wearer, drives Emily’s creative process and output. The dichotomy of the precious and the organic – special stones encircled by sea-worn fragments of gold – characterises so much of her inspiration.
