Sun and Moon Art Ring

Please note, this is a one-of-a-kind ring made for our ARTring 2022 exhibition. ARTring is an annual celebration of bold design and craftmanship showcasing masterful creations from over 40 unique designers. The ARTring event is hosted in the gallery from November to January. Each ARTring comes with a dedicated Story Card featuring a sketch and quote from the designer.

Momocreatura’s jewellery explores the boundaries between reality and fantasy through the depiction of fairytale-inspired images. Their pieces are finely handcrafted assemblages of child-like imagination, suggestive of ambiguous, twisted humour.

Momocreatura says about their art ring:

“The gems are the heroines of this ring. The blue sapphire represents the moon, and the pink sapphire represents the sun, which is set opposed to the diamond horizon. Depending on your mood, the ring can be worn with the sun or moon side facing up or down.”
