Tomfoolery Celebrates 30 Years!

This May, Tomfoolery celebrated 30 years in the jewellery industry with a fantastic event in our Muswell Hill gallery. Founded in 1994 by Nicki and Peter Kay, and now led by their daughter Laura, Tomfoolery has grown from a small family business into London’s hidden gem. Renowned for its curated selection of timeless jewellery from global designers, the boutique has now become London’s leading destination for alternative engagement rings.

Over the years, we’ve expanded our in-house collections and introduced innovative lines like Métier by Tomfoolery, offering affordable, delicate solid gold jewellery designed for everyday wear. Métier has not only thrived locally but has also reached international markets, wholesaling to clients both in the UK and abroad.

The journey hasn’t always been easy. We overcame the hardships of COVID-19, which challenged us to adapt and strengthen our operations. Despite these obstacles, we emerged stronger, building a resilient, female-led team that is as hardworking and dedicated as ever.

We celebrated this significant milestone by honoring our rich history and the community that has supported us with a grand celebration complete with the most decadent cake and bubbles. We are excited to continue our tradition of creating memorable, personalized jewellery experiences and look forward to many more years of success and innovation.
